ChatGPT Health: Setup Tips & Prompts for Athletes
How to connect Apple Health and your medical records, plus 10 prompts, and why athletes need to add context.

ChatGPT just released ChatGPT Health, possibly the largest fully integrated consumer health launch in recent history. I demoed it, and it's impressive.
You can connect Apple Health and your actual medical records (labs, meds, visit notes) to ChatGPT. It's free and US-only for now.
It doesn't connect to Garmin, WHOOP, Oura or Strava directly, but if you link them to Apple Health, their data comes through.
Why athletes need to add context
Lab reference ranges are built on the general population. That means:
A resting heart rate in the low 40s reads as bradycardia.
CK runs high after a hard training block.
Ferritin shifts under training load.
ChatGPT flags all of it as abnormal unless you tell it how you train.
The guide
Setup took me 10 minutes. I wrote up the steps plus 10 prompts: a records audit, trends over time, doctor-visit prep, and an athlete labs prompt.
FYI: moving your records into ChatGPT takes them out from under HIPAA. OpenAI's protections are real, but they're policy, not law. The guide covers this.
