COROS August Update Breakdown
COROS is the only major watch brand with its own MCP. Plus better sleep tracking, live tracking and smarter heart rate data.

COROS dropped its August update, and a few of these features are excellent. I went through all of it.
The one that matters most
COROS is the only major watch brand that built its own MCP. Not a third-party one somebody else made. Theirs.
Garmin hasn't (there's an open request sitting on its own developer forum), and neither have WHOOP or Oura. That means you can plug your watch straight into Claude and just ask it things.
Other top features
Enhanced sleep tracking, focused on sleep consistency and sleep stress
Live tracking with pace and heart rate updates, so your crew knows exactly how you're doing coming into the next aid station
Heart rate breakdowns: average heart rate is now split into sleep, daily and exercise, something I've wanted for a while
Still missing
The MCP can't yet write a workout back to your watch. COROS says that's coming before September, so it's worth watching.
The guide covers all three new features, plus an MCP setup guide with ready-to-go prompts. If you've already built your Athlete OS, plug the MCP in as another data source and let your coach read it.
